What drinks should you provide for business meetings
Etiquette for official business meetings can be quite strict and demanding which requires the organizers to be accurate and precise on their handling of the issue. Refreshments are the highlight of a business meeting for it’s the moment that allows social networking to occur among those present. It is quite difficult to ensure the menu for catering a business meeting that would compromise its environment and necessity.

Official business meetings may take more time than general meetings which would necessitate the appropriate food to be catered. Before deciding on the choice of food and drinks, the location of the meeting should be taken into consideration to avoid the food selection that may not be appropriate with the surrounding.
If the business meetings are carried out in the office, then the choice of the menu has to befitting the surrounding. Light refreshment is suitable for a meeting that would not exceed a few hours however, if the time of the meeting is around noon then after being adjourned, staffs could break for lunch. But official business meetings that are held for a long period of time maybe scheduled for almost four to five hours straight would entail the company to serve lunch for those attending.
Meetings in the office should not permit alcoholic drinks in order to maintain a professional and ethical working environment for those in the office. However, if the business meetings are held in a more open and social venue such as a hotel or restaurant, it is permissible to entertain guests with all kinds of beverages inclusive of alcoholic drinks. Although beverages become an entertainment requirement for business meetings, it is still in the opinion of the company hosting the event to serve any alcoholic drinks.
In certain functions, especially internationally hosted business meetings, etiquette prohibits the serving of alcoholic beverages for it is frowned upon in a formal environment. It is not the law to forbid any alcohol consumption however, with a business meeting in session it might be chaotic to have members drinking and causing disruption. To serve such drinks, are more preferable for private and informal meetings that would not demand a strict propriety.
